What a race. Had some fun with it. Got out in a respectable first lap to avoid being tied up in the field. And then I just put the brakes on and nobody passed me. After the curve I just decided to see how slow I could actually go and see if anyone would pass me. Nobody did. We ran a 42.28 second lap. I have to mention that I had a huge power trip midway through that second lap. I could do whatever I wanted and the field was just gonna follow along. But then a central guy took over and then a Loras guy and then after 2k (per my preference) I took over and ran a couple quick laps to drop everyone. Colin Beck came along so I ran a quicker lap and he fell off. After that I just maintained pace and brought it in. Nothing better then Chapman telling me I have 50-80 meters on the whole field. Pretty much jogged in the last lap because I knew I had it in the bag.
Also kudos to Connor and Sammie. Running that fast with that slow of a lap to start? Unbelievable. Connor literally ran the fastest he ever has and 5-8 seconds of his time were because of that one lap. Good step for that guy, just keep chipping away.
