From the gun I got out per usual, then settled in. On the first inner loop gong up the hill Wilkinson decided to open up on the field so I went with him, that was my plan the whole time, just react to the leader and move late. He had about 2 seconds on me at the 5k, and then 7 with a mile to go. I let him go and then maintained the gap the rest of the race. It honestly wasn't until I saw cross the finish line when I let up. Beginning of the race I was not pleased with how we handled ourselves. We will be better, we must be better at nationals. We can still win.
