Pretty much even split the whole race. First K was 2:48... then it was pretty much 2:50/1s the rest of the race. Just gotta be able to dig deeper that last lap. I think the last lap was like 65/6 which I know I can do better than that. Anyways, this weekend was great. This was also a season best and another step in the right direction! Pr on deck soon!

Thursday got in about 4:15 and took a train/bus to Lewis and Clark. Actually missed my stop and knocked on the door of the first house I saw and got a ride to campus. After I got there I did a quick 10 minute run and then went with the Lewis and Clark boys to see Doctor Strange 2. Got back from the movie theater at like 12:30 central time and then went to bed.

Friday morning I took a bus downtown. Had lunch with my firm. They were on the 39th floor, ears kinda pooped a little. Out the window I could see all of downtown and the mountains, it was sick. Then I took a train to Beaverton and met one of the BTC guys for a run on the Nike Campus. I even got to run on the Michael Johnson track. The track has very short straits so the turns were a lot bigger than a regulation track. Did some strides there and then got a ride to downtown where I took a bus back to Lewis and Clark. Had dinner with those guys and then pretty much went to bed.

Saturday I woke up and ordered breakfast and pretty much just chilled the whole day. Towards the end of the day I wandered over to the track and did a shakeout. Used the team's normatec. Met Elliot (BTC coach) and had some good conversation with him. Met some more of the BTC guys and some jacuzzi boys. Two of the dudes I met work in the Nike Innovation department. One of them was wearing prototype Dragonfly XC spikes.

Sunday I met some more dudes from the team. One of them was Michael Jordan (the steepler). He was talking about his contracts with Hoka and now Nike. Pretty cool to just hear about he views running in general. Another guy had just gotten back from Park City, Utah where the Pro team is at for altitude camp. He was talking about ordering their new race kits and it was in question whether or not we would be getting their old gear. Those guys were all talking about club cross nationals in San Francisco in the fall and it got me all pumped to be on a team with a championship race on the schedule.

Overall just super pumped to move there in the fall and join them. They meet every 1-2 times a week for a workout and then a long run on the weekend. Seems like just the right amount of structure that I am looking for.
