Really nice day for the entire team. The race started and I just kinda sat in the back of the front pack. The other teams actually raced us today (for a little wile anyways). I really wanted to let loose as early as 2k in but I knew that we had a really big team goal in mind so I didn't. I intentionally slowed the race down about 3 times so we could keep 5 of us in the front pack for as long as possible. Then with a little less 3k left Spencer Moon was still with us so I threw a huge surge in to see if he could answer. He couldn't. Christopher, Dalton and I wrecked him the last 3,000 meters. I ran 8:53 and they went 9:01 for the last 3k. Those are really fast closes. Our top 5 averaged 24:59 and had a 33 second spread. Absolutely baller. Throw Sam back into the mix and we have a foursome that are unmatched. Very good step in the right direction for us collectively.
