Travel day to California. Early flight out of Boston at 6:00. Got up even earlier than planned, cause the cat puked on our bed at 2:45...
Uneventful six-hour flight with ZERO snacks served. Sucks to United Airlines... Torturous lines at Thrifty rent-a-car, but finally, on the road to Nevada City by 11:30 in our "upgrade" Prius. Stopped at In-and-Out Burger en route (Vacaville!) for a delicious double-double. Arrived at Nevada City a little later than planned, but just in time to ride to the rehearsal with Kevin, Dave and Pops. Sweet site for the ceremony at an old gold mine in Grasslands (Empire Mine).
Excellent rehearsal dinner with the wedding party, family and close friends at New Moon Cafe, in Nevada City. Good food, great California wines and just an awesome time. Late night back at the house as Kevin was sharing some of his winnings from the Napa Valley Marathon.
Tired from a full 24+ hours awake... But WELL worth it.
