extended the run home this afternoon. took salem street into stoneham, then out past bear hill country club to return via parker and summer ave ext. beautiful afternoon.
great "thinking run" as i had just read an article (new york times?) discussing what people think about while running... not sure if i fit into there mold. but interesting none-the-less.
finished "racing the rain" this evening while nicole was out. wonderful read. i'm sure i appreciate this more than i would've when i was in high school... but it definitely leaves me wondering/wishing "what if" i had found a similar mentor (or advice) when i was that young... i'd like to think that i would've thrown myself into more serious/intense training if i had just been pointed in that direction, but who knows... maybe i would've made the basketball team freshman year!?
