planned a workout... not feeling like a workout... changed my mind back to a workout after a mile of easy running. Headed over to RMHS track for a 3-4 mi tempo/progression run. Felt like poo after the first mile and considered bailing after 2 or 3, but got stronger as I progressed, just needed to work the rust out. 5:52-5:46-5:32-5:23 (avg. 5:37+/mi) solid run, would like to be able to just do 4 miles at even-paced 5:20-5:25... at this point, 5:30-5:35 would be reasonable if I just warmed up and stretched with that workout in mind. 5:30s or better should be a good goal for Amherst next Sunday. If I can get out next Tuesday for a w/o, I'll try something like 3-4 x mile at 5:20-5:30 or 5-6 x 1k @ 3:20-3:25 w/ short rest (1:00-1:30 easy).
