2.5 Easy, 8 x 400m with 200m jog recovery and then about 2 miles back home.

A bit windy but the rain held off - a big plus as I was ready for a cold/wet track session and think it would have been miserable (and track sessions aren't exactly fun anyway).

Target pace was 1:30-1:35 - thinking that this would keep me at/under LT2 but still awfully close to current 5k pace.

First 2 were nicely controlled / adjusted as I didn't want to tank the workout too early. 3 and 4 got a bit quicker with 5 and 6 edging back toward the need for control and to not over-do. 7 and 8 were easier to push with the end close.

Overall, pretty happy with the results and some clear progress since the last track session a few weeks ago.

A bit of food before going out and then just a bit of honey water in the flask/pouch - stomach did not like having food on it today for the harder effort. Had a few sweets last night which might have had an impact? Will need to find what works for this sort of workout if I continue to push them as the fueling seems to be a huge help on my recovery (and output) on the long runs.
