Notes
A really strong race and a surprise PR. Didn't expect this one to become much more than another tune-up with perhaps an outside shot at breaking 17. The weather however was excellent and I had 2 guys to compete with nearly the entire race.
I was a bit outclassed however as the eventual winner turned a 1 or 2 second lead at mile 2 into a 20+ second win. 2nd place opened up just enough of a lead to prevent any kind of kick - not that I had much to give anyway.
Measured the course using the RA/Google utility and came out with 3.09 - (so perhaps a few seconds short).
Was able to release some rib issues in the last 24 hours and it made a big difference. Still a slight diaphragm cramp late in the race but it's expected for something to hurt a little when running at 5k effort. Much better breathing and perhaps a little better race mentality than last week.
Splits - 5:17, 5:19, 5:47 (1.09)

Official time posted on web has me at 16:24
Measured the route incorrectly on my first attempt and thought it was a tiny bit long.
