I had a fantastic 15-mile run this morning. It was only in the mid 60s, which is the coolest and driest it's been in a while. It was extremely comfortable and my energy was up. I ran most of the way alone. Probably 10 miles in, Mark from our group caught up to me, and we chatted amiably for 1.5 or 2 miles. Then a few more BostonFitters caught up. I thought we'd all hang together, but then it felt like they were slowing down, so I finished out the final three by myself. I think cutting my pace for those few miles with Mark conserved my energy because I sped WAY up for the end and still felt like I could have gone farther. Between the delicious weather and having nothing on my plate to rush home to, it was a nice morning to relax at the Marsh Post and catch up with people as they finished their runs.

Oh, and I saw three bunny rabbits in quick succession. It was so quiet and peaceful today, both on the asphalt path and the adjoining roadway. The city is deserted. Everyone is away on vacation.

Debuted sassy new lime green running skirt! Love it, but maybe I should have gotten the next size down. Too late now, and I'm more likely to gain weight than lose it, so . . .

I realized the blisters were probably remnants from my street shoes; not my new sneaks.
