Notes

Pretty good race, a trifle disappointed with my time.

First off, happy that the weather held. It did not rain until the last half mile, and that was a light sprinkle. Temperatures were pretty comfortable. There was a bit of a headwind at times, but not too bad.

Rode with Jon, of course, and ran into the Legend of Mark Grady relay team: Mark, Lee, Kerry and Joanne. Also saw Jeanne Hogan, who is recovering from injury, but cheering on another friend. Spotted Michael Tsung wearing a lei at the start line, but couldn't attract his attention. Anthony (Foo Runner) was registered for the full and training diligently, but no one saw him. Robert Whitney was registered for the half, but I didn't bump into him. Will have to check the results when posted.

Post-race food somewhat lacking. Fruit looked bruised and unappealing. Didn't want potato chips. Ate half a raisin bagel, but cheated and bageled out on the way down with a Finagle triple chip--yum. I took a quarter cup of clam chowder, which was good and set well enough with my stomach.

Medals were improved this year. Liked the star fish design. Deep purple shirts, but cotton and too large anyway.

Bummed to discover that my gun time and chip time were identical. Between my personal stopwatch and Jon's differential, I've calculated my "true" chip time.
