Gorgeous day. Met Lisa and hustled into corrals. Got seeded easily and start was less congested than I remembered. Text contact with Susan, but did not see her walking with 37-year streak wheelchair participant. Saw Aime twice on Berkeley; once out, once in. Due to miscommunication, missed rendezvous post race. Bumped into Audrey pre. Biggest surprise: Overtook Jeanne Hogan near midpoint. Cheeky chica shouldn't be running on rehabbing knee. Left oblique strain reared ugly head around mile 5. Straightened posture and held it together half a mile, but really felt it to the finish. Well, except the final tenth. Sprinted in to congrats from Joan Benoit Samuelson and found Lisa (ahead of me!) in the chute. Happy with effort and result.
