Why do I run: To stay healthy both mentally and physically. Running every day helps my writing as well, it spark my creativity. |
Why I started running: When I was a freshman in high school my best friend talked me into going out for the cross-country team. In my 20's and 30's I ran 10ks and marathons. Because of grad school and family obligations, I did not run for about 10 yrs and I gained 50 lbs. When I turned 50 I decided I wanted to lose the weight and running was the only exercise I enjoyed. Now at 61 I am in the best shape of my life. |
