Shout out to the Bethel College Threshers. Pretty cool mascot for a small farm town college. And their track was sweet.

Managing the wind on the backstretch and trying to calibrate my effort+pacing at sealevel made for a fun challenge. Definitely got cooking a little too hot for the first k, but I managed the rest of it pretty well.

Thanks be to God for the good start to the longer of the two travel days. Got a lot better sleep last night but I still wasn't sure what I'd have for this. After the 200s I felt pretty sluggish but the threshold K helped me get into a groove and then that first k was a bit of a shock. I was pushing hard to keep it honest and even though I went out in a 67-68 I thought I'd for sure slow down running the same effort but I never did. I did my best to ease off of the gas without slowing a ton in the next 2 but by the end of the third rep I was working really hard and thought it would be wise to add the second threshold k there and I was planning on just doing another threshold k and call it good, but I felt better than I thought I would, and decided to hit a 3flat to finish it out and ofcourse ran 2 seconds faster than anticipated for that lol. I was tired afterwards, but definitely didn't go to the well so all in all, got in some quality reps and managed my effort off of the summit really well. Big win for sure!
