Crazy People

Beautiful day to run; my body woke up nicely throughout it.

Ran past an also running old man going up Geddes hills who shouted at me to "go for it!" I waved nicely too him, but I wasn't about to amuse this old man by sprinting up the hill. He didn't appreciate that I guess so he started to chase me up the hill shouting "don't let this old man beat you!" Again I smile at him and continue at the same pace I was going. At this point he's really trying to sprint to catch me and after seeing his tactics aren't working to get me to pick up the pace, he starts to say as he's only a few feet away "I'm the hatchet man! If I catch you I'll chop your head off!" Completely bewildered I look back at him as he's right behind me trying to hold a smile while he's visibly exhausted. Seeing that his final effort didn't work, he slows down and starts a conversation with me for a few seconds until I'm a good distance away again.

A few moments later I see a girl distracted by her phone almost walk into a snowbank. She stopped right before it and did a quality "phew" gesture. Shout out to the citizens of Ann Arbor for keeping life interesting during the run.

Thanks be to God for the quality weather and solid vibes.
