Why do I run: It reminds me of my mortality and keeps me honest. Additionally, I really enjoy the solitude and as my favorite poet R. Rilke says "It is good to be solitary, for solitude is difficult; that something is difficult must be a reason the more for us to do it." |
Why I started running: Stuck in the middle of Iraq with little more than a treadmill to keep me company. I ran to stay sane. |
