Notes
Beautiful day. Sunny and warm. Fun to walk up and see a bunch of people ready to just race really fast. Not a lot of fanfare. Wish I was in a little better shape for this but seems I haven't lost too much speed. Saw the clock getting close to 7:00 and sprinted in trying to get under, thought I missed it but forgot about the chip time so ended with a better result than I thought. Sarah got 6:23. Jeremy, Lewis, Frankie, and Guthrie there and cheering a little over halfway. This was fucking hard from beginning to end.
There were three waves and we ran Wave 1.
Wave 1 Race (Hard effort)
Wave 2 Run (Moderate effort)
Wave 3 Jog/Walk (Relaxed effort)
official time 6:55 (127/502)
Sarah's time 6:23 (80/502)
No separation in men's and women's times. Or age groups. I would at least have liked to know how I placed among the women.
Oh yeah, and recognized a few people. Annie from the 5k last week was there. She ran 5:55. After the race she asked my time and I told her and then she suggested we go for a run sometime. :) That was nice. We didn't exchange numbers yet but I think we may have a date! I thought it was funny that she suggested a run together after she asked me my race time.
