Notes

Rock Solid Health with James. He's going to send me the exercises later but the idea is to start with corrective maneuvers. I am not totally sure why, but we focus on the squat. Toes too far out, leaning too far forward, etc, figuring out the issue and correcting and working on tight spots and releasing with the foam roller, digging with fingers, stretching, etc. Lots of it reminds me of Jay Dicharry's book and Kelly Starrett but with someone actually identifying the problem areas and walking me through the corrective techniques. Will be moving towards actual strength work once the proper muscles are being engaged and other spots released. This should be interesting. Lots of work to do at home. I haven't looked super into James' background. He's young, I'm not sure how experienced he is but he's not making a joke out of running and he really seems to know his shit as far as I can tell from my experience with running and exercise, my own reading and research, and undergrad degree in exercise and sport science etc. I will put my trust in him and see where this goes. Hopefully good places. Fast injury free 5k and faster marathons in the future would be nice but pain free movement like getting out of bed and moving like a normal person as I get older would be better. Oh, and it sure would be nice to look fucking good too. Drinking beer and eating sugar cookies as I type this. Hmmm.....how to get more muscle definition??
