2015 Disney Half Marathon - Goofy's Challenge
Orlando, Fla
Cold temps @ 42, but 'real feel' @ 36F at 4am, temp at race end @ 44F. Set alarms for 3am; was dressed and out the door at 3:30am to catch the bus to Epcot. Arrived to Epcot parking lot @ 3:50am and walked around runner receiving area until 4:45, then walked @15-20 minutes to runner corrals. Placed in Corral 'K', 11th corral back; race started @5:40ish with 'K' Corral crossing start line @ 35 minutes later. Partly cloudy at start, slight windy @ 10-12mph. Wore sweat pants, running gloves, scarf and 2 sweat shirts over running gear while waiting to start race. Running gear was comprised of running pants over running shorts, 2 long sleeve running shirts, running cap and running gloves; was very comfortable running. Running Shoes ASICS GT-2000 (#3). Many run/walkers and had to weave in & out of crowd due to being in back corral through first 3-4 miles. Ran a lot in grassy shoulder area to pass other runners.
