Notes
No idea, what the heck happened between mile 4 & 6. I was cruising along or so I thought and when I checked my watch, all of a sudden it said I was way off my pace. I felt like I had slowed, but my guess was maybe 9:15 at worst up some of the rolling hills. I had guessed that the GPS must had wigged out and I somehow lost a 1/2 mile somewhere. Perhaps I was abducted by aliens. There seems to be no evidence of probing.
The down side was, I wasn't sure, as I kind of zoned out for a while, One tends to do that when abducted by aliens. So I picked up the pace figuring I would make up for possible last time. After all I was feeling guilty for running after bringing my wife home from surgery, but she was sleeping and I needed my miles.
The end result was a harder effort than I had intended as I tried to chew into a bogus 14min/mile to better my overall average. Even though my display was wrong the whole way, when I uploaded the data, the watch found & reported the .63 miles that I had originally thought it lost. In the end, just another run and a good lesson not to overly rely on technology, as my gut was right the whole way and my watch w/gps was wrong.
