Just what the doc ordered, a moderately easy run to shake off the stink of the last few runs. I ran right when I woke up. The run was nice and I felt good.

I actually watched this yesterday but I wasn't feeling a full blown review in my current downer state. Anyways the plot of the movie is the big-ass black obelisks show up at 12 different locations around the world. My two favorite modern comic book characters, Hawkeye(Jeremy Renner) and Lois Lane(Amy Adams) are tasked to help communicate with the aliens before shit hits the fan and Humanity wages all out war against the aliens. while the story starts out slow, it really pretty good at the 1/3 mark. Then that final third of the movie transitions into pure cinematic genius. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the ending and how mind-shatteringly intelligent it is. Some reviews have called this an alien invasion movie for adults, but the way it explores humanity and the things people will do out of fear, I call it an adult invasion movie for aliens. I Highly recommend this movie; 10/10 would bang (Hawkeye not Lois).
