Ran with B Rappl. Near Mile 13 when we made the turn to the road leading up to the stadium, I bolted and basically sprinted from there to the end. Probably pissed off some of the 1:40 runners who were running with the pacers and had passed both of us just a while ago.
Some observations of the race which I did not particularly like which was a mix of Roads and Trails. First, the trail paths that we ran on were not officially closed to race participants only. We passed at least one set of walkers and a few bikers were calling out on the left to us for them to pass. The second observation was that the road was obviously not closed either for just race participants. A few times I saw cars coming towards us with no physical barrier to define where the race course was and where cars could be. There was only one stretch where there were cone barriers but I think that is because that section was a somewhat busy road. Towards the end, some women pulled her car out of on the street and almost hit me. She then proceeded to yell at me for being in the road and to move over. My only response was to flip her off and tell her she was a bitch!
