BIB # 1410
Started at the front with Eric and Brian. Within the first 0.5 mile, I wished them luck and took off. Around Mile 1, I settled in with a group of guys who were chatting. There was a girl in Green also keeping pace with them. I figured I follow them for a while but seeing how they were chatting a bit, I figured they would take off at the end. Stayed right around my girl in Green but by around the 5K mark, they started to take off and left me. As I crossed over the mat on Mile 4, I made sure to make an effort not to let anyone pass me and nobody did. By Mile 5, I was trailing another girl in Red. As we made the final turn towards the finish line, I thought about just letting the chick in Red beat me but I figured I better give it all I had. Passed her with about 0.1 mile left and I half expecting her to give me a kick but nothing. She let me pass with no comeback.
