Wow! Ran my fastest mile ever today as part of an interval workout. Workout was 3x1600m intervals. I was feeling bad after my poor race last weekend, so I set my goal at 6:55-7:00. First interval felt easy at 6:49, so I reset my goal to 6:50. Second one still felt easy at 6:46, so I decided to see what I had left. I was cautiously optimistic that I could hit 6:30. Instead, I ran 6:27! I even felt good afterward, not totally wiped like I often do after a tough interval workout, which you can see by my cooldown pace being faster than my warmup pace.

This makes me feel a lot better after my poor race last weekend. Maybe 3:30 isn't out of reach.
