Riverfront Park is flooded.
The trail on the North side of Lake Benoist was impassable just a hundred yards past the Panhandle. The South side of Lake Benoist was also impassable before the cutoff to the Gallo Woods. Luckily the hidden trail to the Volksvagen Woods is still open. This will allow an escape route from Riverfront to the Wohler Bridge via Water District property.
Although my Nike Pegasus Trail shoes are super comfortable, they lack some grip over a muddy surface. It would have been safer to have worn my Salomons.
