|Why do I run:
Fitness, improve health and well being, counter act negative effects of Agent Orange from two tours in Vietnam 65-67 with Navy Seabees, and because I fell in love with it and am obsessed.
|Why I started running:
I was blessed with a heart attack in the ER on 3/15/08. No prior symptoms, working out 5x/wk. Discovered that with family history I should have had extremely low cholesterol. After researching, I found that running helps raise HDL, and lower LDL and Triglycerides. So I started running July 08. Used C25K to get me started. Ran first 10K 50 weeks from heart attack, first half 18 months from the attack
