Rom 6:17-18 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

From servants of sin to servants of righteousness. We are given freedom not simply wander about, but to serve the very opposite of that from which we were liberated. Obedience from the heart is simple faith taking hold of the truths which we have been given. Being loosed from our sins, we serve righteousness by yielding ourselves as instruments of God's grace so that others might have this freedom also. We are thankful that we know this because only when we serve righteousness do we realize that we have been made free from sin..
