went to the highland park fish camp area for trails I discovered online today.... wanted to explore a 1.3 mile route I plotted out there. It turned out to have big puddles in the road that I had to creep around in the undergrowth (got all scratched up!), and when I got to the fire lane I had planned to turn right on, it wasn't mowed out! I wasn't sure where I was, so I kept on going and eventually found my way to another fire lane that led to the railroad, so I took that. I wound up running/walking back on the railroad right-of-way (difficult to run on railroad ballast!).... Anyway, a train came along while I was out there, so that was fun, and I found a pair of heavy duty pliers along the way; picked 'em up for a souvenir.... What an adventure! Need to go out there (it's actually Lake Woodruff Wildlife Preserve land) when there's been no rain...
