I should be estatic about this PR right now, but I'm sadly disappointed. I did a trial 5K earlier this week where I held a 7:15 pace. I was tired during this race due to the hard trainer workout I had Friday night. I think I'm capable of a 7:10. The race was still a good one and I didn't really push as hard as I probably could have. I think I had a pretty good negative mindset. Something I really need to work on. I'm looking forward to smashing this PR in July at the Joliet Sundowner. I got rained out of that one last year. It's an evening run when I typically run faster in the evening. I'd love to be able to break into the upper 6's by then. Until then I'll continue my gym workouts and running plan.
