Course #1
I felt pretty lousy on this run even before it began. I went to bed with lower back pains last night and woke up with them (must have been from some of the manual labor around here yesterday). I walked for about 3 minutes at the 8.5 mile mark with gastro-intestinal issues; and then I walked about 2 minutes at the 11.5 mile marker while taking on fluids.
I started out very slowly (probably too slow); 9:30 first mile. A couple of times I picked up the pace and got feeling better. My knees held up pretty well. Only ten more miles to go...
