PR today by over 4 minutes this morning in the Newburyport Half-Marathon. I somehow ran faster today per mile than even in my 10 mile race PR (which is 7:43 per mile)
Splits: Mile 1=7:19, Mile 2=7:43, Mile 3=7:42, Mile 4=7:39, Mile 5=7:25, Mile 6=7:43, Mile 7=7:53, Mile 8=7:47, Mile 9=7:47, Mile 10=7:34, Mile 11=7:47, Mile 12=7:13, Mile 13=7:07 (and the last .18 in 6:49).
Mostly flat course but there were several minor hills down and up. I tried to run the tangents the best I could except when traffic was around me. I put a lot of effort into every mile and did not expect this PR today. Keiron, Autumn, Chloe & Houdini drove the course and cheered for me 4 times and saw me finish. My Prior Half-Marathon PR had been this Past February at the Half in the Hampsons which was 1:44:00 (7:57 per mile).
