dissapointing time/pace in today's John Carson 2 Mile Road Race in Chelmsford. Last year I ran the same race in 13:05..I ran 24 seconds slower. My past two 5K's in June were 6:43 pace. I ran slower today in a shorter distance. I knew I wasn't going to break my time from last year but still was hoping for 13:15. Extremely humid. mile 1 was 6:43, mile 2 was 6:41 (according to my garmin). 3rd in my age group but the 2nd place woman was well over a minute ahead of me. It's a Point to Point course so Keiron & our daughters and I drove to the finish then I jogged the 2 miles very slow as a warm up to get back to the start. EXTREMELY humid out. bad race, that's the way it goes.
