8 hours sleep, V8 and banana breakfast. Wow, that was hard. Barely made it through the 4 speed miles - but I refused to give up. But after that I had to walk most of the last cool down mile. Look at the HR - maxed at 190, averaged 185 in the last mile. That actually isn't good - pushed too hard and could have gone over the edge. Definitely felt the heat and humidity. But the breeze along the river during the cool down was totally awesome! Overall I'm glad I pushed it - it's been a long time since I've done a real training run, and it felt spectacular, especially after the fact :).
