This was a tough out and back run where almost the entire run was exposed to the sun. So hot...brutally hot. Ice was my best friend on the run course...with the exception of Grace out there with the cowbell! What a great surprise to see here where I did. Lot of fun...seeing her...not so much this event. It was just relentlessly hot out and without the near constant ice water over the head, ice on the back of neck, and ice on the heart and other organs I'm not so sure I would have been able to run as well as I did. Not the time I was hoping for, but I was cranking the bike harder than I ever had before, so that might have something to do with it. Either way, I'm glad that's over and will have to really be convinced to go there and do this event again.
