Was sure I was travelling over 7 minutes per mile, but the run actually measured at exactly 12 and a third. Probably travelling 6:30's to 6:40's for the second half of the run. VERY surprising considering how I felt throughout. Several factors made this one a struggle. My ab (hernia?) was sore from yesterdays workout. Was quite a bit hotter than I've been used to running in with the sun high in the sky. Was VERY parched by halfway through. My inner thighes were extremely chaffed and burned the entire way. Also think I'm just feeling a bit of general fatigue from the last few days of running. Not really making excuses, because I only planned on 12 or 13 anyway...just made it feel tougher than it should have felt. Otherwise, not dissatisfied with the effort. Longest run in a few weeks, and should be a decent step towards legitimate long runs in the coming weeks.
