Had a good MP workout inside my long run.

Last minute we decided to go up to Anders' family reunion in Battle Lake a day earlier, and not race the wayzata alumni meet yesterday.

However, because I had planned for a long run/workout Sunday, and had structured my week for that, I still opted to do it Sunday even though we didn't race.

Felt pretty good from the start, and splits were about where I wanted the to be. Tried to just run on feel and not look at my watch very much. Pretty much just looked at the pacing when my mile splits came, and each time I was happy with the effort and encouraged to just keep running on feel. The last 1.5 miles got hard, but I was happy to get 8 at a good effort. Stomach took a big turn towards the negative in the last mile, and that also influenced my perceived effort, I'm sure.

Had Anders' company for the first 5 miles, and it was awesome to just be able to run alongside someone. Made the full effort go by much faster.

The cool-down was rough. And I just tried to make it home without pooping myself or throwing up.
