Got back from a long day of coaching at the Milaca Mega Cross Country Meet. It was an absolutely beautiful day, and that helped my motivation to still get out and run even after being on my feet all day.

I got home and sat outside for about a half hour in the sun, just hanging out and unwinding after a long day. I figured Anders would be waking up around 4:30, and I knew he would need to run so I waited so we could go together. Always better to run with company.

Again it was a beautiful, perfect fall day to run. 57 degrees and sunny. We ran happy. We trotted over 100 to the Greenway, and then ran down the greenway to the short side of Cedar Lake and back on the Cedar Lake Trail. He dropped me off after 5 and added 2 more. Five was plenty for me after a big week and also anticipating a long run tomorrow. I did about a half hour of stretching and yoga and some abs to make sure I'm still staying on top of injury prevention/maintenance even though I've been feeling healthy.

I ran in my Hokas and they felt good today. I'm thinking I'll give my Kinvaras a try for the long run tomorrow. They seem to give me some helpful cushioning similarly to my Hokas, and also allow for a lot of movement like my Freedoms. I absolutely LOVE the freedoms, but after long efforts the muscles in my feet get really fatigued because the shoes allow for SO much movement. In attempting my longest long run yet tomorrow I don't want fatigued feet to be my limiting factor.
