I'm going to go with 5 on this one I think. It's hard to know how far we I/we (because I had a slightly different route) went when the pace was quite varied and some of it was more like ice skating due to the ice. But we were out for 42 minutes, so probably it could be 5 to 5.5 miles.

Myself, Yarrow, Emma, Kim, Ashley, and Anna. I love running with this group of women, and racing with them, and all the others who came back this weekend. I can't articulate how happy I am when in the company of the Luther women.

We ventured through City Prairie and found some slower, laborious topography: a combination of hard-packed, frozen snow, grass and ice. A pain in the top of my left foot forced me to walk for a bit and abandon that hard footing. I joined the crew again on the dike and much to our delight we found mostly grass showing. After the dike I chose to stick to the roads to try to combat the pain in my foot, and was conveniently able to run behind a truck dumping ice on the road for a couple miles. I kept my eye on the happy group of 5 women running the dike off to my left as I ran on the roads, past the high school, and toward Bruenning's Bridge. I turned when they turned, and was able to meet them again on the 5th ave bridge to run the dike back to the Pasche household.

A morning run with friends and great company, followed by a brunch of pancakes with the best group of people at the home of the best coaches on earth. There is absolutely no better way to start the day.

Much Happiness.

Ah. Sorry to have missed it. Glad you had the company of great women, great friends. Sounds like your ideal morning, in all ways.
