Notes

This was a selfish one. I ran river trail with the crew, and then Katie Nimrod and I added a bit by running backwards up Dunnings to meet the group that was doing a bit of trail running. When we got back down to river trail we hung out for a few minutes, and then as people were heading back towards school I sort of made eye contact with Steve and he asked "Maggie are you going straight back to school or are you going to go add some more?". I took that as permission to leave the group (they had 16 counselors and 6 coaches, they were fine), and go run some trails solo. So I ran up and down Luge to Rocky Road, and then ran around Van Peenan for a while: Little Bighorn, Pines east and west, the prairie loop, before descending back down rocky road. Then I went back up into Dunnings and played around a bit more before descending via upper mothers day.

Its been a LONG time since I've had a solo run on the decorah trails, just playing alone in the woods. My legs fatigued towards the end, but it was worth it. I couldn't stand at the end of river trail, that close to dunnings and van peenan, and not get there during my 5 days here.

Love love love this! Way to take advantage and be selfish when it made sense to me. You're killing it this week, and I'm so happy for you to be living the Decorah dream!
