Notes
Felt absolutely fabulous today.
Headed out the door for 4-5 after a long effort yesterday, and immediately found a relaxed, quick pace and an extra spring in my step. Within about 10 minutes I could tell it was going to be a good one, and at that point I altered my route to allow for a potential add on if things continued to feel good.
Ended up winding around east rock park and found myself at the summit just in time for a brilliant sunset. It was a sight to behold, and I stopped just long enough to snap a picture. (The benefit of having my phone along to listen to music)
I finished up with about 9ish, and it was definitely a little too dark to be running the trails home as I did, but luckily I didn't trip or fall at all. Note to self, 4 o clock really isn't early enough anymore. That is probably the earliest I can get out most days, so even though the weather is still warm I need to think about ways to both see and be seen in the dar. The sunset today was 4:47. Ridiculous!! And I know it just gets earlier.
One of those runs that led to the feeling that I could have run forever. Felt very light on my feet and very fit, and that was fun. Thinking about a good 800 workout at some point this week, in preparation for a potential thanksgiving 5k. We'll see.
