Had a great long run this morning, got out just early enough to not be completely eaten alive and spit back out by the heat, but it was still quite hot!!
Had some structure tentatively planned, just to break up a long effort on a hot day and give my mind something to think about.
First 6 miles were relaxed, about 7:45 pace ish
Miles seven and eight: 15 min (7:30 pace)
mile nine: 7:25
mile ten: 7:19
mile eleven: 7:10
mile twelve: 7:00
mile thirteen: 7:00
mile fourteen: 6:45
Felt superb, especially towards the end. Physically, I could have continued easily. The paces felt relaxed and I felt really fit. Mentally however, after 14 I was ready to be done running.
Excited about a good workout.
