Drills, strides, them 4x1 mile at threshold w/ 60s jog rest

Again it was a short, down and dirty workout. And that’s still a welcome experience at this point in the cycle.

Effort felt right. I had 3-4 reps written and I wanted to stop after 3 because I was hurting, and I didn’t know if I could do another one at about that same effort. But then I told myself it doesn’t matter if I think I can do another one, it only matters if I can do another one. So off I went.

Splits: 6:18, 6:15, 6:10, 6:13

Fairly consistent, which I’m pleased with. I didn’t look at a split at all while I was out there, it was all on feel, so I’m glad to see my 4th one was still where it needed to be. I think I hit threshold pretty accurately, and maybe dipped below that on the 4th if I’m being honest with myself. But it was also the 4th, so maybe it was just hard like the 4th one is supposed to be. Who knows. I don’t think I could have done a 5th.

Very happy with it, and happy to have easy running the next two days. Also, I forgot to strides yesterday. I can’t forget to do them on pre-workout days!
