Had a great, marathon pace workout today.

10 miles at marathon pace was the charge, and I set out determined to accomplish that.

Splits for my 10 miles were 6:45, 39, 43, 40, 39, 36, 39, 38, 29, 28.

I maybe started a little too conservatively, but I was very intentionally not looking at my watch at all, so I'll take it.

Additionally, the effort felt about right, the end felt great, and I've never completed 10 miles at marathon pace before. So maybe the start was too conservative, but I'm not going to be too upset about it. I think I got in what I wanted to get in. And I have more chances soon, I'm sure.

Its fun to see these kinds of workouts become more familiar an easier to wrap my brain around. 10 miles at MP flew by, and I'm honing both my physical and mental abilities in these efforts.

Also, I looked back, just because I was curious and had a hunch... and my overall time for my 10 miles at marathon pace today is 5 seconds faster than I've ever raced the TC10 before. I'd say we're getting somewhere...
