Notes
workout in Breckenridge. Found the flattest portion of road I could find that was also somewhat clear of snow and ice (keyword there "somewhat")
2 mile warm-up, 2 strides
then 6x3 min at threshold w/ 1 min jog recovery
I did my 3 min pieces back and forth- one direction was downhill and with the wind, and the other direction was uphill and against the wind. My first piece went well, likely because it was downhill and wind aided. My second one didn't go as hot, and I started to blow up about halfway into the 3 min piece. I learned I had to dial back a bit, especially going that direction.
The paces and distances are absolutely abysmal, but I got the work in. The effort says that it counts.
The workout made the miles go by much faster. Limited, decent running around Breck in the winter.
Weights after. 2x50 lunges, 2x40 squats, push-ups, abs
