Notes

Winter weather is HERE! 25 degrees and windy, Wow!

Nice day, it was sunny when I went out and like usual I was glad I had committed as soon as I was out the door. However, I must say I don't think I was ready for this onset of winter so abruptly.

Ran from the school to river trail and enjoyed the small bit of snow cover on the dirt. River trail was still very much runnable, and that was nice. Ran out lower Pali and the gravel was frozen, haven't seen that in a while!

They legs felt good, but on the return trip I ran straight into the wind for much of it, and by the time I arrived at school my quads were quite cold, which left me feeling stiff and heavy throughout the last couple miles. Bummer.

I can imagine just the sensations you experienced from many similar outings in Decorah. It is a major bummer that the prevailing winds tend to be in your face when returning to Regents. Missing you, Hiccup! The first snow storm of winter always reminds me of our epic Dug Road adventure, even if that was in December and with more snow on the ground. Hopefully you can continue to avoid further frostbite experiences.
