Notes

Felt quite tired and heavy today. Definitely in need of an easy day. Ran on a gorgeous, sunny afternoon in Decorah. The wind was brutal, but I could survive knowing there are highs in the 40's and 50's coming!

I was happy with my wardrobe choices regarding temperature, but all the layers just added to the already very present lethargic feeling. Its a good thing it was a solo effort because nobody else would have liked to slog along at the pace I was choosing today. Regardless of how I felt, however, it was good to get out, and hopefully the legs will feel better tomorrow. No typical Friday workout tomorrow, as I am entered in the 3k at Stevens Point on Saturday. Planning on another easy day tomorrow, with a few strides, and then hopefully I'll be race ready by Saturday afternoon.

On another note, it is definitely time for me to switch my shoes! Started to feel my lower legs and feet a bit this week and didn't think much about it for a couple days, and then realized I was probably overdue for a new pair. Sure enough, I'm 600 miles in, oops. Thats about 200 miles more than I usually go. Yikes.

Luckily last time I bought shoes I bought 2 pair, so my next set is ready in my closet for tomorrow. My feet will be excited about the added support and cushion, however I will be sad to retire my current pair, as they are mis-matched blue and neon and look pretty fly, if I do say so myself.
