Notes

Trying to catch up from last week after an absolutely awesome time on a boat in the Caribbean :)

The data from my watch is all funky because half of my runs were around a .2 mile track on the top of a ship, and my watch was trying and some succeeding and sometimes failing to connect to GPS. And other times I was on a treadmill, and my watch estimates distances on a treadmill based upon cadence and arm swing, and sometimes the estimates are right on and sometimes they're way off. It would probably have been more effective just to not try to import data from my watch at all, but I didn't write down any numbers or record any of my runs the whole week, so the watch is the only thing I have to jog my memory. I think I got it about right, who knows.

Anders and I split our time running between the track on the 13th deck of the ship and the treadmills in the fitness center. Track was actually not the worst either of us has seen on a cruise ship- about 5.5 laps to a mile. The hard part was there were some ugly ninety degrees turns and often times people unknowingly meandering across the trail. Treadmills were a good alternative when we got tired of the running track. They were hard to use and slightly frustrating at first simply because of all the movement of the ship (more on that later), but by the end of the week I had sorta figured out how to turn the treadmill running into a game, and that made the time and miles go by much faster and much easier.
