Ran to east rock and up east rock on the commuter path, came down, and then extended on an out and back to just short of the ocean. Felt just a bit fatigued going up and coming down east rock, probably from a lot of pavement and a lot of miles lately. Also felt tired heading out towards the ocean into the wind.

But this was the route I set out to do from the start, knowing I needed 11-12 today, and I was never so tired than I thought I would cut it short, so I think mentally and physically I was in it the whole time.

The two miles back from the ocean were REALLY fun, because I was on my way home and cruising WITH a really strong tailwind. These two miles were definitely tempo pace, and it was fun to feel really strong and really fast at the end of a longer effort.

Definitely feel in the legs that I've had a big week, but glad to have accomplished it and to only have 4 easy miles tomorrow to hit 60.

I haven't checked all the necessary places, but I think this might be the first time I've hit 60 miles in only singles? Usually in college anytime I was running 60 or more miles in a week I was doubling at least once, maybe twice, and I did a lot of doubling over the last couple falls when I was running higher mileage.

Perhaps not, but it still feels like an accomplishment.

Regardless, it feels good to have a 16, a 10, and an 11 on the week, behind me.

***Edit: not the first time I've hit 60 in singles, done it 3-4 times before, but it looks like 60 IS the highest mileage I've ever hit in singles. So my thoughts were fairly accurate.
