Up at a friend's house/cabin in Manchester (about an hour+ north of Yale) with some girlfriends for a fun girl's weekend. The house is up in the bluffs/mountains, and in the woods. Some fantastically scenic and HILLY running. Had a terrific time exploring the surrounding area this morning. The weather is crisp and perfect: 60 degrees and sunny. prime weather for a sports bra and shorts. I ended up exploring a crushed dirt road that eventually spiraled down down DOWN the bluff. After a while I just gave in and realized it was going to be a very difficult return trip, but the views and the nature were more than worth the effort. After turning around I started the epic climb out of the valley. Took me about 25 minutes ish to run down, and about 35 ish to run up. VERY steep, more hiking than running in parts, but great fun in a challenging way. Quads, hamstrings, and calves were absolutely on fire by the end.

I added about 10 minutes at the top after finishing the climb just to give my legs a few minutes to shake out a bit.

No idea how far I actually went, but I was out for about and hour and ten minutes, so I'm giving myself credit for 9.
