Nice, easy, short run in the sunlight with Anders. No better way to spend the day! We talked about training and racing, we talked about our friends and their different styles, we talked about dreams and fitness to come, and the miles were over before we knew it. Sunlight, especially, warmed us from the inside in a very wholistic way.

Man, downtime is so good.

Just the fact that my workout for the day literally takes only the amount of time needed to put on my shoes and run, frees up so much of my day.

Don't get me wrong, I love ski season. But after ski season is over and I'm not compelled to put energy into it, more daylight, shorter workouts, and no real racing or workouts on the agenda has my mind and body free and easy. And its a wonderful thing.
